Project Background

The University of Chinese Medicine in Changsha has a large campus with numerous buildings and laboratories and a complex population. Traditional decentralized surveillance can no longer meet the needs of modern campus governance, so the university wanted a unified video security system covering teaching, research and living areas.

Requirements & Challenges

• Multiple campus areas and buildings make point planning and networking difficult
• Laboratories, libraries and dormitories have high security requirements
• The system needs to interwork with the campus card and fire-safety systems

Wuyue Electronics delivered a campus-wide video surveillance solution for The University of Chinese Medicine in Changsha, deploying network cameras and PTZ domes by functional zone and connecting them to the campus security platform for cross-building review, e-patrol and intelligent alarms.
